Yesterday, on April 4, 2019, Annabell Beckmann (Associate at A.T. Kearney) and Vincent Rodewyk (Associate at A.T. Kearney) held a guest lecture on the topic “Digital in the Luxury Industry – Key Drivers and Implications”. As both guest speakers are alumni of WHU, it was a great pleasure for us to welcome them in our Luxury Brand Management Course.
After presenting some figures on the development of the luxury industry, Ms. Beckmann and Mr. Rodewyk elaborated on four digital drivers that disrupt the luxury industry and push digitalization in the market. Furthermore, they demonstrated some implications for the industry using a case study of a high-end brand for perfumes.
