Today we are delighted to host the first module of the Omnichannel Bootcamp at the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. This program was designed in cooperation with the dfv Mediengruppe to meet the high demand for in-depth knowledge of the omnichannel business within retail and hospitality industry. Our participants experienced an engaging and challenging program: Professor Dr. Martin Fassnacht started the bootcamp with his inspiring keynote speech on omnichannel strategy. In the second session we welcomed Professor Dr. Stefan Spinler (WHU), who walked the audience through the topic “Digital consumer insights and analytics” and gave valuable ideas on how machine learning and artificial intelligence can be leveraged in retail. The academic part was followed by two high-profile expert sessions: First, by Clemens Boldt (Head of International Business Development & Operations, Vorwerk Temial), who introduced the participants to the Vorwerk Real-Life Case and supervised them during the work for group presentations; Second by Dr. Henning Mohr (Head of Ecommerce, Henkel), who shared the experience of Henkel regarding eCommerce with the specific attention to the capabilities of Amazon.
