From December 5 to December 13, 2019, we welcomed Prof. Dr. James Conley who held the course “Strategic Intellectual Capital Management” as part of our MSc program. Prof. Conley is Clinical Professor at the Center for Research in Technology & Innovation at Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University, Evanston IL, U.S.) and Member of WHU’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group. His course covered the broad agenda of using intellectual capital for competitive advantage in various business contexts. Following a “lifecycle” approach, the students learned how to manage intangible assets such as human capital, patents, trademarks, secrets and brands. The course was a great success, very well received by the students, and celebrated with a Food Truck event.
