Presidential Address to Students, April 12th, 2021

The German President encourages students to stay strong in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic

On April 12th at 11:00 a.m. the Federal President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, will address German university  students live per video to applaud their pragmatic approach to the challenges which the pandemic has presented. He will recognize their lasting effect on students, their studies, and their professional futures.

The aim of the President’s address is to speak out directly to students of higher education who have made significant efforts to work towards successful academic and professional careers in the face of personal and professional hardships as a direct result of the pandemic. President Steinmeier intends to remind students that they will overcome these difficulties and that their futures continue to be bright.
