New course on „Transformational Technologies“

The Center for Sports and Management at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management has joined forces with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, USA to develop the fully asynchronous online course "Transformational Technologies: Applied Lessons from Sports".

What the course is about:

Technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, internet of things (IoT), robotics, and web 3.0 redefine the rules of the 21st century. This "Tech for the Non-Tech"-course will explain these game-changing technologies in an engaging online-format via sports examples only. Combining world-class faculty in their respective fields of expertise with renowned industry experts, the course will enable participants to navigate the technology revolution in both their private and professional lives and apply the relevant knowledge to their respective background.

After the course, participants will be able to understand the fundamentals of physical, information processing, and human interaction technologies and how they change existing business models and consumer behaviour in their industry. Furthermore, they may identify opportunities and threats associated with technological changes, apply relevant use cases, and articulate key success factors for implementing these technologies in their organization.

The course is suited for business professionals across all industries eager to leverage the power of sports to discover the opportunities game-changing technologies offer.

The course is about to start on October 03rd and will be offered on MIT’s executive education platform MIT xPRO.
