The faculty of the Institute of Management Accounting and Control (IMC) is more than proud to share with you that the doctoral program of WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in the area of Management Accounting has been ranked #1 in Europe - for the fifth year running! On a global scale, the program ranks #7 (down from 5 in the previous year). The results show that our efforts to provide doctoral students with the best possible learning environment pay off”, says Utz Schäffer. “Congrats to IMC’s former doctoral students who made this possible!”
The BYU ranking, produced annually by Scott L. Summers and David A. Wood of Brigham Young University, relates to the number of peer-reviewed articles published in 12 of the world's most prestigious accounting journals in a 6-year post-graduation window. The quality of each PhD program is measured in terms of how often its graduates published in one of the selected journals during this period.
