The Entrepreneurship Center at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management has always sought to create a rich entrepreneurial ecosystem in which students, investors, startups, and corporations can interact with each other. To help realize this goal, the Center has recently established a strategic partnership with intervivos, an association of medical experts and business professionals aiming to redesign the field of healthcare. The company will now bring its industry expertise, as well as financial support for research programs, to the Center’s already powerful entrepreneurial ecosystem.
As a starting point for this partnership, intervivos is supporting the first Digital Innovation Challenge as part of the “Leveraging Collaboration for Innovation” course run by the Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA program. For this challenge, different student teams will explore novel, data-driven business models that could help intervivos, which is currently an important provider of COVID-19 test centers, fully reap the benefits of its current expansion plans. The company, co-founded by WHU alumnus Erik Schäfer, will provide proprietary information that will enable students to develop creative business models in a real environment. To exchange and ultimately fine-tune their ideas, students will have the opportunity to engage in rounds of “speed-dating” with several senior intervivos managers.
