The study examined the academic degrees of a total of 97 founders who were involved in 53 start-ups sold in 2018. 11 of these founders studied at WHU, accounting for 15 percent. This means that WHU once again took first place in the ranking. Besides, the study examined the academic background of the founders: Nearly half (almost 43 percent) of the exit founders studied economics.
WHU has been offering the first Master of Science in Entrepreneurship in Germany since 2017. The English-language Master's program prepares its students theoretically and practically for an innovative career in companies, start-ups, or family businesses.
