Professor Günther Heads AOM Division

Professor Dr. Christina Günther is Chair of the Entrepreneurship Division.

The AOM is the preeminent professional association for management and organization scholars. Worldwide members are professors and Ph.D. students in business schools at universities, academics in related social science and other fields, and practitioners. Founded in 1936, the global AOM community today is nearly 20,000 strong, spanning more than 120 countries. With 3,585 members and over 20 percent rise in the last five years, ENT is the fastest growing division of the AOM, and now represents one of the largest divisions within the association.

As Chair of the Entrepreneurship Division, Professor Günther is leading the Board in shaping the Division’s strategies and activities. In the past two years, Professor Günther has dedicated her passion to grow entrepreneurship scholars as PDW Chair in 2015 and Program Chair in 2016. As such, she was responsible for the organization of the Division’s Professional Development Workshops, doctoral and early career consortia, the sponsorship of the Division at the 2015 Annual Meeting in Vancouver and the coordination of all the 2016 Annual Conference activities for the Entrepreneurship Division in Anaheim. Moreover, she coordinated the prestigious dissertation awards in 2017 in Atlanta.

As Chair, Professor Günther hosted the annual mid-winter meeting of the ENT Division in January 2018 in Vallendar. The meeting brought together leading global scholars in entrepreneurship, small business and family business research.
