The faculty of the Institute of Management Accounting and Control (IMC), professors Lukas Löhlein, Marko Reimer, Utz Schäffer, and emeritus Jürgen Weber, as well as assistant professor Daniel Schaupp, are more than proud that the doctoral program of WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in the area of management accounting has been ranked #2in Europe, together with our friends from WU Wien and after Maastricht University. Thus, our doctoral program is within Europe’s top 3 for the seventh year in a row! What an achievement of our (former) doctoral students!

The BYU ranking, produced annually by Scott L. Summers and David A. Wood of Brigham Young University, relates to the number of peer-reviewed articles published in 12 of the world's most prestigious accounting journals in a 6-year post-graduation window. The quality of each PhD program is measured in terms of how often its graduates published in one of the selected journals during this period.
