Last week, the students from the third semester of the Bachelor program at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Managementreceived fascinating insights into corporate planning at Deutsche Telekom AG from Georgios Stratigakis. The Vice President Group Financial Controlling of Deutsche Telekom AG shared with the students the development process and continuous improvement of the "Campus for Planning" format. Deutsche Telekom AG introduced this format ten years ago to address the challenges in corporate planning. These challenges, which include the susceptibility to errors and the enormous resource requirements, had been discussed in class in the weeks leading up to the guest lecture. The real-life example from Deutsche Telekom AG perfectly complemented these theoretical discussions.
Georgios Stratigakis closed his guest lecture with an overview of possible integration and the potential of digital technologies for the future of corporate planning, such as self-service and machine learning.
Thank you very much, Georgios Stratigakis, for this inspiring guest lecture!
