WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is excited to welcome its newest Professor of Leadership, Networks and Organizations. Professor Yuval Kalish officially began his duties on August 1. His research focus lies on leadership, organizational networks and organizational psychology and received international awards. Professor Kalish has a strong interdisciplinary orientation, has been the recipient of various teaching awards, and has published over 30 articles in renowned journals relevant to management, sociology, psychology, and medicine.
Since 2013, Professor Kalish has been Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Coller School of Management, which operates as part of Tel Aviv University. There, he also served as academic director for both Executive MBA and Kellogg-Recanati programs. His academic career started with a bachelor’s in psychology, earned in 1999 from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In 2001, he earned his master’s in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Melbourne, where he later went on to complete his doctorate in social psychology. After working as a post-doctoral research assistant in sociology for the Hebrew University, he became a member of the faculty at the University of Tel Aviv in 2009.
Prior to returning to academia, Yuval Kalish consulted for global firms such as AXA, Boeing and BHP-Billiton. Currently, he provides leadership training to large multinationals and to government agencies. WHU is looking forward to working with him and wishes him a good start!
