After the airline industry experienced massive revenue losses during the Covid pandemic in 2019/2020, the Lufthansa Group restructured early and was able to report a profit recovery at the end of 2021 for Lufthansa passenger units. Dirk Otto, Head of Marketing Eurowings, showed the Fulltime MBA Marketing students in an exciting guest lecture how exactly the Lufthansa-subsidiary "Eurowings" has restructured itself and wants to reposition itself as Europe's leading value airline. Based on extensive customer surveys, the airline is not only focusing on attractive and affordable prices, but also on flexibility, comfort and digitalization.
