On Wednesday, March 24, 2021, in our Price Management course with the Full-TIme MBA students, we enjoyed an exciting guest lecture by Simon Rimrod (VP Commercial Offer Portfolio & Pricing at Swiss International Air Lines). In his insightful virtual talk, Mr. Rimrod discussed the following topics: Pricing and Revenue Management in the Airline Industry, Challenges for Pricing in Times of Crisis and the Development of Pricing Innovations such as Continuous Pricing, Dynamic Bundling, Data Science Approaches.
On Thursday, March 25, 2021, our students also had a great opportunity to learn how business newspapers like Handelsblatt manage their pricing policy during the exciting guest lecture by Dr. Imme Baumüller (Director Data Technology & Business Intelligence ). Ms. Baumüller presented current strategic challenges of newspaper publishers and showed how price management and data analytics can help to develop solutions.
