“Out of the box – Into the world” is the motto of this year’s TEDxWHU conference, which will take place on April 9th, 2022 from 11:00 – 22:00 at the campus in Vallendar. In our world full of uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, it has become increasingly difficult (and perhaps even less desirable) to follow a straight path. This year’s event explores how we can embrace change and follow our creative ideas. Seven speakers from around the globe, all with wildly differing perspectives, will report on their experiences “busting out of the box” and where it is they are in life. Leaving the confines of this box could mean anything from going for a jog through the Sahara to selling luxury watches, writing a bestseller to coping with Tourette’s syndrome. These and other unique experiences will be the focus of the presentation.
The conference is being organized, as in years prior, by WHU students. The TEDxWHU events are held as a part of the parent TEDx conferences that take place worldwide. The goal of these events, which are held in English, is to propagate as many new ideas and ways of thinking as possible. Participants can also expect rousing conversation and a program that includes a gala dinner and a gin tasting.
