WHU MBA

Leadership and personal development has a special focus, ensuring our students stand out from the crowd. To make this happen, we supplement our thorough academic curriculum with a variety of engaging Skill Accelerator Workshops. These workshops focus on current business practices, ensuring you have the most up to date information and business practice to hand.

At WHU we promote lifelong learning, which is why many of the Skill Accelerator Workshops have contingents for our alumni – an MBA at WHU guarantees access to the latest business developments no matter how long ago you graduated.

Our workshop program is constantly developing, but below are a few examples of the topics covered so far.

Design Thinking

Design Thinking is as much a process as it is a mindset, and this workshop allows particpants to learn this method through experiencing it, by exploring its key components, and working on a real challenge. Led by Hardy Kuhn, Senior Vice President at SAP and Kellogg-WHU EMBA alumnus from the Class of 2006, Design Thinking helps with the understanding of problems, finding solutions, and driving creative innovation.

Visualizing Your Idea

In increasingly dynamic business settings, commanding attention and communicating complexity is vital. Professor Dr. Christoph Hienerth, Chair of Entrepreneurship and Business Development, leads participants in exploring visual tools to apply to daily business, enabling clear visualization and communication of ideas.

The Perfect Pitch

Severin von Hoensbroech, actor and qualified stagecoach, leads participants in the art of presenting the perfect pitch in a way that no one could refuse. Addressing common basic mistakes, and focusing on how to captivate the listener with an inspiring narrative, participants actively train for and build their perfect pitch.

Process Management

Professor Dr. Thomas Weber equips participants with the knowledge to ensure lean and efficient operations within organizations governed by a number of intertwining processes. With an overview of different types of processes, participants discuss case studies and the benefits and limits of process organizations.
