The British Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) has invited Prof Dr Arne Strauss to join their Strategic Advisory Team (SAT) for the Mathematical Sciences starting January 2020 onwards. EPSRC is a Non-Departmental Public Body sponsored by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy in the United Kingdom. They invest £1bn a year in research and postgraduate training. SATs advise the EPSRC on their research and training strategy. The appointment is for 3 years.
