"Family Business and Medium-Sized Business Research Award"

Professor Dr. Nadine Kammerlander and Jonas Soluk received the "Family Business and Medium-Sized Business Research Award".

At this year's 22nd Interdisciplinary Annual Conference on Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and SMEs (G-Forum) on October 11 in Stuttgart, Professor Dr. Nadine Kammerlander and Jonas Soluk from the Institute of Family Business at WHU were honored in the "Family Business and Medium-Sized Business Research Award" category. 

Professor Dr. Nadine Kammerlander, Director and Chairholder for Family Business, and Jonas Soluk, external doctoral student at the Institute of Family Business at WHU, received the first prize of 1,000 euros for their paper "The Role of Dynamic Capabilities in Responding to Disruptive Technologies: Lessons from the Digital Transformation of DACH-Country Mittelstand Firms". In their study, they examined the digital transformation process in 15 medium-sized companies in the German-speaking regions.

The "Family Business and Medium-Sized Business Research Award" was presented by the EQUA Foundation and the Förderkreis Gründungs-Forschung e.V. (Association for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship Research). (FGF) e.V. This research award aims to make scientific and practical knowledge available to family businesses and to provide practical recommendations for action on topics such as entrepreneurship, innovation, and succession in medium-sized companies.
