Guideline for Start-ups & Family Businesses

Researchers from the Institute of Family Business at WHU have investigated how start-ups and family businesses can work together.

Doctoral student Larissa Leitner, Assistant Professor Dr. Max P. Leitterstorf and Institute Director Professor Dr. Nadine Kammerlander present their results in their guideline "Start-ups and Family Businesses. Guideline for Entrepreneurial Families and Start-ups."

Among other things, the study focuses on the opportunities and challenges that can arise when family businesses and start-ups work together. The three forms of cooperation, participation, and takeover are presented as forms of collaboration. Besides, the researchers discuss strategic approaches for family businesses and point out perspectives for start-up entrepreneurs.
