At this year's 22nd Interdisciplinary Annual Conference on Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and SMEs (G-Forum) on October 11 in Stuttgart, WHU Professor Dr. Christina Günther, Chair of the IHK-Chair of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises at WHU, and her co-author Professor Dr. Min Liu won in the "Sustainable Entrepreneurship Research Award" category.
WHU Professor Dr. Christina Günther and Professor Dr. Min Liu from Durham University Business School won the research award, which was presented for the seventh time and endowed with 1,000 euros. In their paper "Where does sustainable entrepreneurship emerge? The regional interplay of incumbents and sustainable new ventures in the German electricity Market" the authors examined the origins of energy cooperatives, newly founded sustainable initiatives to solve energy supply problems in the region.
The "Sustainable Entrepreneurship Research Award" was presented by the Hans Sauer Foundation and the Social Entrepreneurship Academy. This award aims to support projects that promote a more sustainable environment and social entrepreneurship in society.
