CIO Young Talent Award 2020

Cihan Sügür receives a full scholarship from the CIO Foundation for an MBA at WHU

This year's winner of the CIO Young Talent Award, which is presented by the CIO Foundation and CIO Magazine to promote young IT talents, is Cihan Sügür from Porsche AG. In addition to the award, Cihan receives a full scholarship for the MBA program at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management.

The final round of the competition was held for the first time in digital form last week. In four interviews, each with the jury from the CIO Foundation's Board of Trustees, the six finalists had to prove their professional know-how, personality, and leadership skills. In the end, Cihan Sügür, currently IT Demand Manager in the Technology Acceleration & Management division of Porsche AG, prevailed.

"For many CIOs, the competition is a good opportunity to promote their aspiring IT talents, so this made it all the more difficult for us to choose the winner because the finalists impressed everyone with their expertise and personality," reports Dr. Peter Kreutter, member of the Board of Trustees of the CIO Foundation. What is the CIO Young Talent Award?

The CIO Young Talent Award is a competition for talented young people in the field of information technology that has been organized by the CIO Foundation and CIO Magazine since 2011. CIOs (Chief Information Officers) and IT managers of user companies can nominate their young talents for the award and thus promote their potential for further development. The official award ceremony for the CIO of the Year 2020 will take place as a digital gala on November 26.
