WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management is pleased to welcome Dr. Barbara Stage as Junior Professor of Financial Accounting and Business Taxation as of August 1. In her academic career to date, she has gained extensive experience in teaching at the bachelor's and master's level. In addition, the appointment committee was won over by her particularly interesting research projects, publication and the extensive network at her disposal.
Barbara Stage began her dissertation at the University of Mannheim in 2016 at the chair of Prof. Christoph Spengel and successfully completed it summa cum laude in the summer of 2021. She worked as a research associate at the Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim in the research area "Corporate Taxation and Public Finance" since 2018. Dr. Stage received her Bachelor's degree in the program “Philosophy & Economics” from the University of Bayreuth in 2014 and subsequently her Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim.
Barbara Stage has presented her research findings at numerous leading conferences in her field. She has also received the MAFAT Young Researcher Award for her publication in the Journal of Public Economics and the PWC Master's Thesis Award.
