The new Master in International Business program at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management will start next winter term in September 2021. The program complements the business school's three existing master's programs with an internationally oriented and wide-ranging program in General Management which is aimed specifically at candidates with a basic knowledge of economics.
Despite the corona pandemic, WHU continues to grow. In addition to the recently launched Global Online MBA, the business school’s portfolio will soon comprise the Master in International Business to meet the high demand for master programs. To date, WHU offers the master programs Master in Management, Master in Finance, and Master in Entrepreneurship. In the recent Financial Times rankings, each of these programs ranked first among all German universities in their categories. This year they attracted an all-time high of 210 enrolled students in total.
With its focus on General Management, the soon to come Master in International Business is aimed specifically at bachelor graduates of business-related studies, such as industrial engineering or business psychology, with a maximum of two years of professional experience. Thus, the program offers the opportunity to expand management skills at WHU as one of the leading business schools particularly for bachelor graduates with a degree in a field other than economics. The 21-month program is characterized by practice-oriented learning and an embedded semester abroad and is designed to prepare future managers for working in international teams.
In addition to nine core modules, students will be able to choose freely from three electives during their studies to develop their skills individually. Moreover, students will be supported from the very beginning by the WHU Career Center in order to successfully enter professional life.
