In their group discussion held as part of their event last year, TEDxWHU, run by students of WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, spoke of the virtues of change, challenge, and thinking “outside the box.” This year, on February 11 at the WHU campus in Vallendar, they are taking that theme to the next level with The Status Quo – Reimagined!, which will see the young organizers explore ways of redefining societal standards together with their audience. From Philipp Holzer, chairman of the supervisory board at Eintracht Frankfurt, to Jarno Opmeer, two-time Formula One EsportsWorld champion, and Africa Greentec co-founder and CEO Wolfgang Rams, among others, this event will feature a diverse panel of original thinkers and young professionals.
The Status Quo – Reimagined!, as with previous conferences held by TEDxWHU, is open to the general public and not limited to any specific age group. Held as part of the TEDx- conferences that take place all over the world, this all-day conversation will focus on how society, with the help of the next generation, can evolve and pick up the pieces after years of continued uncertainty. The students in charge of the event reflect WHU’s overarching mission of contributing to the larger discourse and moving that conversation forward. That focus on thought leadership is at the core of the TEDxWHU group, which has been in operation since 2015 and is currently under the guardianship of Professor Holger Ernst, Chairholder of Technology and Innovation Management at WHU.
Those interested in joining the conversation are welcome to sign up at the event’s ticket portal. Following the discussion, TEDxWHU will host a dinner with all participants in WHU’s vaulted cellar on campus.
Tickets are on sale until February 10.
