With a new image film, WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management now inspires its community and visitors of the website alike. Titled "The Spirit of Courage and Commitment", the new two-minute film, illustrates the cohesion of the business school in a beautiful way. The video aims to illustrate the prominent roles of the values community, “cosmopoliteness”, entrepreneurship, and excellence in the creation of the unique WHU spirit. At the WHU locations in Vallendar and Düsseldorf, faculty members, students, and staff enjoy working in an environment that promotes diversity and internationalization. As shown in the film, WHU's culture is characterized by courage and innovative spirit, a strong sense of community and a special commitment to excellence.
Despite the uncertain times, the business school decided not to postpone the release of the film. Today, more than ever, the WHU spirit unites the entire community and motivates everyone to participate. Courage and commitment are also expressed very practically in the fact that virtually overnight, classroom teaching has been replaced by online formats, due to the corona crisis.
The film production was a joint venture of the video team, the marketing department, and the Online Sales Unit. All those involved were supported significantly by Dean Markus Rudolf, the students, and the teams of the different programs.
The shooting of the Neuland company took six months in Vallendar and Düsseldorf and involved WHU students and staff members as protagonists. It was completed just ahead of the outbreak of COVID-19.
