The 2023 edition of the Universum CareerTest makes it official: Both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management think highly of their academic experiences on campus and are positive about their career prospects. “That our students have given WHU such high scores shows that our efforts to offer an academic environment that allows them the best chances to grow are all worthwhile,” said Professor Christian Andres, Dean of WHU. “The survey also highlights the value of the students’ investment in their own education.”

This year, WHU students gave the school an excellent review in three areas, namely “reputation,” “offering,” and “employability.” In fact, with students having such a high opinion of WHU’s performance, Universum awarded the school with three separate certificates. The company reserves such recognition for partner schools that have performed considerably well in the sub-categories that reflect a university’s overall desirability. For this year’s survey, WHU is one of only five schools in Germany to have qualified for one or more certificates, ultimately receiving more certificates than its contemporaries.

On the whole, the results of the survey show that WHU’s students strongly associate the school with “education[al] excellence,” “successful alumni,” and “international awareness.” All told, more than half of the 123 surveyed students would recommend the school to others. Overall student satisfaction at WHU is at 8.2 out of a possible 10. WHU’s students have a particularly high opinion of the school’s Career Center, to which they have given a score of 8.5 out of 10. Notably, 99% of those students have already had contact with the Career Center. By comparison, students enrolled at other business schools rated the career services available to them with an average 6.6/10.

Graduates of WHU also have outstanding career prospects. An average yearly salary of €65,851 awaits WHU students upon completion of their degrees. The yearly salary of students at other schools is approximately €49,753.
