Declaration of Consent
A. Fundamentals and purpose of data processing
You have been informed by WHU (WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management) about the following points:
Personal data may be processed (e.g., collected, stored, transmitted, or used) if these activities are permitted by law or if you have given your consent.
WHU intends to process your personal data for advertising purposes.
This advertising is either in electronic form (e-mail) or by post, SMS/MMS, or telephone.
The advertising measures relate to all WHU’s study programs, further education programs, and executive education programs, including:
Bachelor of Science, Masters in Management, Masters in Entrepreneurship, Masters in Finance, Full-Time Masters in Business Administration Program, Part-Time Masters in Business Administration Program, Global Online MBA Program, Executive Masters in Business Administration, customized and open Executive Education programs, doctoral programs, short international programs, etc.
The advertising measures also extend to conferences, research projects, publications, etc., from WHU’s chairs and student initiatives.
In addition, the advertising measures relate to the sending of newsletters, brochures, or information letters and to announcements about or invitations to events.
The advertising measures are not only carried out by WHU but also by its funding organization, the WHU Foundation.
You are entitled to information about the personal data of yours which are processed by WHU and to the information defined in Article 15(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Should you wish to receive this information or further explanations, or if you wish to have your personal data corrected or deleted, or if you wish to raise an objection or to limit the extent to which your personal data are processed or transmitted, please contact the persons specified in the contact information under (B) below.
B. Consent for the data processing outlined under (A) above in accordance with Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a, 7 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation
By placing a tick, you give your express and voluntary consent for WHU to process your personal data (until further notice) for the purposes outlined under (A) above. Once you have placed the tick, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Please confirm the link contained in this e-mail.
No contractual performance or performance of services is dependent on this declaration of consent being submitted. If you do not submit (or if you revoke) the declaration of consent, you will still have recourse to legal authorizations (in particular Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR “justified interest”) with regard to data processing.
The declaration of consent can be revoked fully or partly and at any time with effect for the future without resulting in any disadvantages for you. Once your consent has been revoked, your personal data may no longer be used for the aforementioned purposes and must be deleted. This revocation can be made by post or e-mail and is to be sent to the following address or e-mail address:
