CFO Stiftung CFO launches nomination period for the NextGen CFO Awards

The non-profit CFO Foundation, established in 2023, has set itself the goal of supporting young top talents in the financial sector of companies in their further professional and personal development. At its core are the annual NextGen CFO Awards, for which CFOs can nominate talented individuals from their teams in two categories from now until April 18, 2024. The "Young Talent" category is aimed at professionals with four to six years of professional experience after completing their studies. The "Executive" category requires at least twelve years of professional experience and at least five years of management experience.

The awards are presented at the Handelsblatt CFO Summit, one of the most important events for the CFO community in the DACH region. They are also associated with partial scholarships for the part-time MBA and Executive MBA programs at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management.

Gori von Hirschhausen, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the CFO Foundation, on the motivation behind this initiative: “CFO is a role that has been gaining in importance for years, which is illustrated not least by the increasing number of CFOs being appointed CEO. The profile is demanding and diverse, so promoting young talent is essential.”

In addition to professional expertise, the two-stage selection process places particular emphasis on the personal and social skills of the nominees. All further details on the nomination requirements and the competition process can be found under NextGen CFO Young Talent Award and NextGen CFO Executive Award. Dr. Peter Kreutter, member of the Board of Trustees of the CFO Foundation, is also happy to provide direct information at any time.
