Eray Demirtop, founder and head of the Blockchain Knowledge Hub at UBS Group AG, gives guest lecture at the Chair of Production Management

After learning the basics of blockchain in recent weeks, the students were now able to benefit from practical experience. 

Mr. Demirtop gave an informative lecture for the students on the topic “The interplay of Blockchain, Digital Assets and the Financial Industry” and gave insights into his experiences in the field of Blockchain applications in banking. 

Eray Demirtop graduated from WHU in 2014 and is now a Senior Consultant, Project Lead and Engagement Manager with experience in transformative strategy and project implementation with a focus on technologies such as blockchain, AI, advanced analytics and cyber security. 

He is founder and global head of the Blockchain Knowledge Hub and founding member of the UBS Blockchain and Digital Assets Unit within Group Internal Consulting. He is also a speaker and trainer, author of research papers and co-leader of the CVA Enterprise Blockchain Network worldwide.
