Incredible Honor for Professor Martin Jacob

Thanks to the excellent scientific work and research he has completed at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, Professor Martin Jacob, who heads the adidas Chair of Finance, Accounting, and Taxation, will be an active editor at The Accounting Review, becoming the first tax expert in the publication’s history to not hail from the United States or Canada. “Joining the editorial team at The Accounting Review is an incredible honor for me, as they represent one of the world’s most renowned journals for this field,” said Professor Jacob, expressing delight over his new role, due to start on June 1, 2023.

The Accounting Review’s high level of quality begets its reputation. It is one of only 24 journals on the UT Dallas list that also specializes in internationally significant research on accounting. It is also one of the few four-star journals considered by the Association of Business Schools in their Academic Journal Guide to be a “journal of distinction.” Said guide rates the world’s most important economics- and management-focused publication outlets.

Starting in June, Professor Jacob will have a voice in deciding the best articles to take to print, thereby having a considerable influence over the journal’s content.
