Our toddlers love to play with everyday objects. Today, they got to play with new objects that support the development of their fine motor skills.
Children don’t always need expensive toys to have fun.
Different sized buttons and a jar with a lid provide the opportunity for great fun that also helps develop motor skills. The jar lid has a hole in it big enough to push the buttons through, so the children have fun filling the jar with buttons one at a time. A jar full of buttons also has another fun feature: it makes noise when you shake it.
Everyday objects like a plastic bottle full of rice or noodles also make great rattles that animate children to make music.
In addition to the objects mentioned above, we have a number of other “contraptions” that children can use during play.
