QS Ranking: WHU’s Global Online MBA is #1 in Germany

WHU’s GOMBA makes impressive debut in 2024 edition of the QS Online MBA Ranking

For nearly two decades, QS Quacquarelli Symonds has been compiling data on a wide range of schools and programs from all around the globe, starting with its renowned QS World University Rankings. WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management has now made its debut on the analyst’s QS Online MBA Ranking. The only German school to enter the ranking’s European Top 15, WHU has finished at #1 in Germany, #12 in Europe, and #33 worldwide. This analysis is based on a combination of publicly available data, additional information provided by participating schools, and surveys completed by employers and academics.

WHU’s Global Online MBA performed particularly well in the sub-categories “faculty and teaching” (#6 in Europe; #9 worldwide) and “class experience” (#5 in Europe; #11 worldwide). It has also achieved an impressive 96% completion rate, with WHU standing far above the global average of 68.5%. These results underscore the school’s “commitment to pursuing academic excellence and delivering solid programs centered around the student experience and the faculty’s expertise,” said Zeeshan Sultan, Program Director Global Online MBA. “The blend of academic rigor and personalization for the learning journey provides our students with a holistic learning experience.”

Ever since its launch in 2020, WHU’s Global Online MBA Program has grown in popularity. Though the format of the program is entirely digital, participants from all over the globe come together for one week of in-person sessions and networking at the school’s Düsseldorf campus. Its curriculum is designed to instill an entrepreneurial mindset and provide a comprehensive education in leadership, decision-making, and strategy. It offers students an ideal online environment for their career development, reinforced by the efforts of the school’s robust Career Center and extensive network of alumni and industry experts.

Over the years following its launch, the program has evolved to ensure it meets the students’ needs. This includes increasing the number of asynchronous courses, specifically those centered around sustainability, generative AI, and data science; enhancing its flexibility to allow students to complete it within five years; and offering opportunities to attend international modules in North America and Asia.
