WirtschaftsWoche honors Professor Martin Jacob
It is a group of particularly renowned and influential researchers from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland: the 75 top young researchers in economics. They are ranked every other year by business magazine WirtschaftsWoche. In the latest ranking of the top economists under the age of 40, Professor Martin Jacob, holder of the adidas Chair of Finance, Accounting and Taxation at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, achieved an outstanding ninth place. Professor Jacob and several other WHU researchers had already been extremely successful in the ranking of the strongest in research economists a year ago.
The ranking includes all publications (books excluded) by the researchers that were published before they turned 40. The WiWo ranking has taken into account the fact that not all journals in which these works have been published have the same reputation and has therefore weighted them.
