WHU Students Help e.V. to raise funds for Colombian orphanage
Music lovers will come together for a good cause at 18:30 on November 26, 2024. In the Marienburgkappelle, housed within the main building at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. The annual and festive WHUSH Charity Concert, hosted by members of the school’s WHU Students Help initiative, showcases the musical talents of its own enrollees and those of the children active in the area’s performing arts associations.
Tickets are available at the door. And while entrance is free, guests are encouraged to make a donation. This year, proceeds from the concert will go toward Acción Misericordia, an orphanage in Bogotá, Colombia. Under the stewardship of the Fundación Colombo Alemana, the children’s home currently cares for twenty young people, ages 9 to 18. The staff provides safety for children who come from difficult family circumstances and works to give them a better future.
WHU Students Help e.V. is in close contact with the founder, who both runs the orphanage and gives updates on their progress and their challenges. Since its inception during the fall of 2004, WHUSH has had the goal of promoting long-term social commitment among WHU’s student body and of providing humanitarian aid where needed. The student-run club now has around 800 members and is involved in several local and international projects.
