The latest ranking from the Financial Times underscores the might of WHU’s MBA programs
Since 2019, the Full-Time MBA Program offered at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management has become a mainstay in the upper rung of the Global MBA Ranking published by the Financial Times. And this year is no different. Released on February 12, 2024, the latest edition of this seminal ranking sees WHU reach #19 in Europe—and reclaim the #1 spot in all of Germany.
The Financial Times routinely issues some of the world’s most significant university rankings for students seeking to pursue a degree program. The prominent schools they include are based all over the globe, from the United States to China and back again. In that global comparison, WHU has managed to move forward a further five slots since last year and currently stands at #63 worldwide. A closer look reveals WHU’s high performance in several key categories, including “sector diversity” (#15), “international mobility” (#16), and “alumni network” (#18), the latter being reflective of the school’s strong bonds as a community.
Having realigned its focus on sustainability over the past year, WHU has shown noticeable improvement in the “carbon footprint” category, now placing #57 worldwide after earning its scope 1 and scope 2 certification from TÜV Nord. In the “ESG and net zero teaching” category, which evaluates the school’s curricula for its content relevant to sustainability and social responsibility, WHU currently stands at #30.
“We are proud to see that we have, once again, reclaimed the top spot in Germany,” said Professor Christian Andres, Dean of WHU. “That being said, this does not mean that we have reached all of our goals for the MBA programs. We are still dedicated to ensuring the quality of these programs and preparing them for the future.” Indeed, WHU’s flexible MBA program, offered through the school’s campus in Düsseldorf, is available in full-time, part-time, and remote online configurations, all of which are aimed at ambitious, forward-thinking students from all walks of life.
