WHU Offers Germany’s Best Executive MBA

WHU stays #1 in Germany and reaches #16 worldwide in the Financial Times EMBA Ranking

In the recent edition of the EMBA ranking from the Financial Times, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management has ranked at #1 in Germany for its Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA Program, thereby continuing its winning streak started in 2003. Globally, the school has leapt ahead eight positions and now sits at #16 (#24 in 2021), also ranking within the top bracket across Europe (#9). “These outstanding placements both across Germany and across the globe evince that our Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA Program offers incredibly high-quality education,” said Professor Jürgen Weigand, Academic Director. It’s also quite remarkable that Kellogg-WHU is now the second-most successful of all of the Kellogg School of Management’s collaborations, even ahead of its partnership with Northwestern.”

The excellent reviews regarding the careers of WHU’s alumni play a significant role in the school’s impressive position in this year’s ranking. A detailed analysis of the results shows that WHU scored highly when it came to “work experience” (#8), which summarizes the alumni’s experience before earning their EMBA degree, including their previous job position and how long they spent in that role. The school also found success in the “salary increase” category (#12) and the “career progress” category (#9), the latter of which is the result of a comparison between the alumni’s former working situations (prior to earning their EMBA degree) and their current job positions and the size of their parent companies. Graduates can expect an average annual income of US$261,870 three years following their studies—which reflects a 75% increase in salary.

The Kellogg School of Management employs a global partner concept that provides managers from every corner of the globe access to its Executive MBA Programs, which are joint ventures with some of today’s top business schools. WHU represents Europe in this network.

All told, 100 EMBA programs were looked at for this year’s Financial Times ranking. These include the offerings of ESMT Berlin, globally sitting at #43; ESSEC-Mannheim Business School (#27); the Frankfurt School of Finance (#62); and Mannheim Business School (#74).
