Campus for Finance Reveals Strategies for the Investment Sector

WHU Private Equity Conference focuses on new opportunities in private equity, venture capital, and real estate

The title of this year’s Campus for Finance – WHU Private Equity Conference said it all. Navigating Private Equity in Uncharted Waters, a two-day event organized in full by students of WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, saw participants come together with experts from the financial sector to discuss strategies, current trends on the investment scene, and private equity. Between war, pandemic, and Brexit, the political, societal, and economical changes happening across the world demand the world finance assume a new perspective.

“We have to understand what the hottest topics, the most important trends, and the current problems mean for the future of private equity,” advised Jan Caspar Hoffmann, CEO of financial services firm Alantra. And he was in good company alongside Issam Abedin, Director of Warburg Pincus, Dr. Sebastian Daub, Global Co-Head of Infrastructure at Linklaters LLP in Frankfurt am Main, and Dr. Tobias Eichner, Managing Director & Partner of Boston Consulting Group.

Together, the event’s prominent roster of speakers informed the students of current trends and strategies in the field of investment banking and provided them with a glimpse into mid-cap private equity. Between the keynote speeches, panel discussions, and workshops, participants also had time to network at the event’s Bridgepoint x AMES Casino Night, aperitif, and gala dinner.
