We will continue to offer virtual events with different fair providers and to offer virtual WHU events throughout winter 2021 and spring 2022. This allows interested candidates from all around the globe to receive further information and insights into our WHU MBA Program from the comfort of their homes regardless of the current situation in their respective countries. We hope to attend in-person fairs again around the world in spring 2022.

We additionally plan to host events such as Campus & Class Visits, Coffee Chats, as well as Information Sessions on campus, elsewhere in Germany, and potentially Europe again. Of course closely monitoring the current developments and complying with safety measures (e.g. checking for a negative test result or proof of vaccination, or recovery in line with local regulations).

We recommend checking the events section on our website for the latest updates or to get in touch with the Recruiting Team directly for further information via mba(at)whu.edu.

Our admissions process remains the same and our upcoming deadlines will also remain the same. Please see further questions relating to testing requirements.

We conduct most interviews digitally via Teams. We are well versed in conducting our interviews digitally, and candidates can sign up for an interview that suits their schedule. Local candidates can also come to campus for an in-person interview. In these cases, we comply with the current 3-G rules in place in Düsseldorf. This means candidates need to provide proof of one of the following:

  • Immunization certificate
  • Recovery certificate
  • Test Certificate, not older than 24-hours

For more information please visit our admissions pages for Full-Time and Part-Time.

The upcoming deadlines for the Full-Time MBA starting April 2022 are:

  • International candidates requiring a visa: December 15, 2021

The upcoming deadlines for our September 202 Full-Time and Part-Time Programs are:

  • 5.000 EUR Early Bird Deadline: January 31, 2022

In order to benefit from our upcoming Early Bird deadlines, candidates must present their GMAT/GRE and English proficiency test results. If this is not possible, the candidate must present proof of test cancellation or inability to sit the online exam.

We also accept the TOEFL Online Exam and IELTS Indicator Exam (online offering).

Candidates applying without their test results will receive feedback to their application on a case-by-case basis. We encourage all applicants to consider the available online test formats.

Please contact us should you have further questions.

If we cannot meet you in person, we would love to meet you virtually to discuss your MBA plans and answer any questions you might have! Full-Time MBA Program

Part-Time MBA Program

Starting in January, Goethe Institute in Düsseldorf plans to resume their in-person intensive courses. We remain flexible by offering our non-German speaking candidates the option to enroll in-person or in an online Goethe course – ask your Admissions Manager for more details!

Our concurrent German courses throughout the MBA Program are still running, as well as our offer to use the learning platform Rosetta Stone.

Since April 2020, we successfully started various Full-Time and Part-Time classes in a mixture of hybrid and online set-ups. In September 2021, we were thrilled to start both formats with the majority of students on campus. Read more

Our next scheduled start date for our Full-Time MBA students is April 2, 2022, and our Part-Time and Full-Time MBA students start together on September 3, 2022. We continue to assess and work on various scenarios of how this will take place – digitally, in a hybrid setup, or on campus. We will never put any of our students at risk, and we take your health and safety very seriously when we consider how and when we conduct the courses. We continue to monitor any changes to the current situation locally in Düsseldorf, as well as Germany at large.

Candidates accepted to the Full-Time or Part-Time MBA Program who wish to defer admission, please contact your Admissions Manager directly.

If there are still travel restrictions in place in March 2022, we will remain in close contact with all students who are not in Düsseldorf to arrange to start the program digitally and arrive in Düsseldorf later.

Otherwise, enrolled students can choose to defer their participation to the next intake. Our Full-Time MBA Program starts twice a year, in April and in September, meaning you might only need to postpone your start date a few months, versus an entire year. If you would like to defer your studies, please get in touch with your Admissions Manager.

Over the last year, we have successfully run our courses and workshops online using a variety of digital tools. These platforms enable students to connect with one another and allow us to connect with students virtually. We are also providing students with additional academic opportunities tailored to the current global situation. Nevertheless, our hybrid classes also allow for real-time interaction including breakout sessions and teamwork.

At the same time, we have launched new initiatives to make sure networking does not take a back seat during this time. Our Events Committee host weekly events with alumni offering insights into the job market, exchanges on industry and even game nights. As soon as it is safe to resume our on-campus teaching and networking formats we will certainly do so.

Since June 2021, we have hosted on-campus hybrid lectures. We plan to continue in this manner at least until the end of March 2022, bearing in mind all local and federal regulations.

We use a mixture of online instruction mediums (including Zoom, Panopto, and Microsoft Teams) for our ongoing courses.

We have considered different scenarios that might prevent our students from participating in our integrated international modules. With that in mind, we are currently running various pilot projects allowing our students to experience the international modules in new locations. These modules provide our students with the valuable international experience WHU is known to deliver in the MBA program.

However, we plan to continue offering our original integrated international modules in China, India, and the US once the situation allows.
