WHU Appoints Professor Dr. Felix Reimann

Second Chair for International Business & Supply Management established

On January 1, 2017, Professor Dr. Felix Reimann joined the faculty of WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. He has been appointed to the newly created, second Chair of International Business and Supply Management. 

“WHU is already known as one of the strongest universities in supply chain management research. Therefore, we are glad to welcome Professor Reimann, an expert in the field of international supply management, at WHU,” explains Professor Dr. Markus Rudolf, Dean of WHU. A second chair of the same name held by Professor Dr. Lutz Kaufmann has existed at WHU since 2001. WHU’s high level of activity in the field of supply chain management regularly leads to internationally recognized publications and awards.

Professor Dr. Reimann joins WHU from Korea University Business School (KUBS) in Seoul, where he was Associate Professor for international management. He studied at WHU, where he also gained his doctorate. From January 2010 until August 2014 he was Assistant Professor for international management at WHU. Before Professor Dr. Reimann began pursuing an academic career he worked as a business consultant at McKinsey & Company.

In 2015 Professor Dr. Reimann was awarded the Best Teacher Award by KUBS. His research mainly deals with international supply management topics, including such issues as sustainability and the power matrix of supplier-buyer relationships. His work has been published by renowned journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics, the Journal of International Management, the Journal of Business Logistics and the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management. He was awarded multiple best paper and best reviewer awards and was honored to function as senior guest editor for a special issue of the Journal of Supply Chain Management.
