WHU alumnus Gian Marco Brizzolara has been selected as a Schwarzman Scholar. As one of the 142 scholarship recipients in their third cohort, he now has the opportunity to complete an exclusive, one-year Master’s program at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
Gian Marco Brizzolara completed his Bachelor’s degree at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in 2016. While a student at WHU, he was recipient of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Deutschlandstiftung Integration. Following his undergraduate studies, he obtained a double degree in international management from Bocconi University, Italy, and the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad, India.
In recognition of his academic achievements and his social involvement, he was selected from over 4,000 applicants for one of 142 spots as Schwarzman Scholar. All scholarship holders demonstrate excellent leadership skills and considerable potential to understand and overcome cultural and political difficulties.
Schwarzman Scholars seek to promote international understanding and worldwide peace. Scholarship recipients will live in Beijing for a year, where they study together, broaden their cultural awareness, attend lectures, travel and develop a deeper understanding of China. Brizzolara is already the second WHU alumnus to receive the prestigious Schwarzman Scholars Scholarship. Julian Busch, BSc 2015, was a scholarship recipient in the first cohort and has since successfully completed the program.
