In his work, Pesch investigates the impact that corporate buyout announcements have on corporate value. He provides a detailed analysis of individual takeover negotiations and the market reaction to these. His evaluations place companies in a position to derive optimal negotiation strategies that can increase the likelihood of a successful takeover for bidders and lower the cost of acquisition.

This year’s ceremony marked the 25th anniversary for the award of the Koblenzer Hochschulpreis in the Historic City Hall. At the ceremony, eight of the award-winning academics from the region’s five universities and ZFH received prize money totaling EUR 20,000; the prize money was provided by Stiftung Zukunft of Sparkasse Koblenz and Kreissparkasse Mayen. This year, the Koblenz University Prize was awarded for the first time this year by Wirtschafts- und Wissenschaftsallianz e.V. Koblenz. Although still new, the organization boasts a long tradition – it emerged from the former Förderkreis Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft in der Hochschulregion Koblenz e.V. [Society for the Promotion of Business and Science in the University Region of Koblenz].
