Many WHU members accepted the invitation of the Welcome Center and met with its team. During the day, visitors could learn more about the Welcome Center's activities, view the available print and online materials, discuss the offerings and ideas with snacks and drinks.

Professor Dr. Markus Rudolf, Dean of WHU, and Peter Christ, Chancellor of WHU, also welcomed the visitors. “I am glad that, with the Welcome Center, WHU further develops and strengthens its welcoming culture as an international, diverse community, which is essential in my opinion”, says Professor Dr. Markus Rudolf. “The Welcome Center provides support in professional and personal matters to all new WHU members, may it be faculty and staff members, as well as their families.”

The Welcome Center works hand in hand with the school administration and the human resources department. Besides, it offers tailor-made services and supports faculty groups, chairs, and departments in preparing for new team members. The activities cover and promote four main areas: Workplace, private and family affairs, personal development, and networking.

At the beginning of 2020, the Welcome Center opens the new WHU childcare "WHU Toddlers", which offers daycare for toddlers of WHU members near Campus Vallendar. WHU members can find further information about the concept, location, and registration on the intranet and in the Welcome Center.
