Fangqi Yang is the third student to have been awarded the regional Jane Klausman Business Scholarship by Zonta Club I and Zonta Club Koblenz-Rhein-Mosel. The scholarship is awarded annually to women pursuing undergraduate or master's degrees in business management who have achieved excellent results. Yang is about to complete her Bachelor’s degree at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.
The scholarship at regional level is set at 1,000 euros and comes with an award certificate. It may be used for tuition, books or living expenses at any university, college or institution offering accredited business courses and degrees. Additionally, at the international level Fangqi Yang was awarded a second scholarship of US$1,000.
The Scholarships were established in 1998 from a generous bequest by Jane M. Klausman, a member of the Zonta Club of Syracuse, New York, to support young, high-performing women pursuing a career in business management during their studies, in hope of increasing the percentage of women in leading positions.
Interested female students in the Koblenz region can find further information about the scholarship and the application process on the official website of Zonta Club Koblenz I and Koblenz-Rhein-Mosel.
