WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management has again been awarded an EQUIS accreditation for a further five years. This is the fifth time WHU has successfully passed the voluntary quality control by the European accreditation agency European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).
"Being accredited by EQUIS for the fifth time in a row - as the only business school in Germany - is both confirmation and motivation for us," explains Professor Dr. Markus Rudolf, WHU Dean. "The re-accreditation is proof of WHU's high quality and at the same time provides us with the tools we need to continuously develop ourselves further so that we can continue to be one of the best business schools in Europe in the future."
The voluntary accreditation by the EFMD is based on the commitment to quality and continuous improvement as well as on a comprehensive procedure of good eight. After WHU had submitted a detailed report (self-assessment report) in October 2018, the EFMD reviewer visits took place on December 3 at the WHU campus in Düsseldorf and from December 4 to 6, 2018 at the Vallendar campus. As a result of the review process, WHU was again re-accredited for five years - the longest accreditation period that can be awarded.
WHU is one of the founding members of EQUIS and was the first German business school to be awarded the EQUIS certificate in 1998.
