WHU invites all interested citizens to a public lecture and discussion event with Joshua Raffael Sonnenschein as part of the In Praxi Forum "Corporate Governance and Community Spirit." The event will take place on Monday, February 11, 2019, at 7 p.m. in lecture hall G-003 and will deal with the topic "Crash Course of Integration - 1955 to 2015: A Personal Experience Report".
Joshua Raffael Sonnenschein has led integration seminars and has been teaching intercultural competence for decades. During his time at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, he was active, among other things, in the acceptance of asylum applications. With the beginning of the so-called "refugee crisis" in 2015, he switched to the NGO side and initiated the first nationwide volunteer work strike in 2016 as spokesman for the board of the non-profit association Integrationshilfe LLäuft. His protest movement "Unser Veto" was invited to the Federal Chancellery in 2017, where he initiated the idea of the so-called "lane change" and thus stimulated a political debate. Sonnenschein is a human rights activist and will report in his lecture on the challenges of this time and integration in general.
The event will be held in German. A discussion and a small drink will follow the lecture.
