First Chair of Sales out of 236 marketing chairs
Vallendar, 06.04.2011. Germany's businesses are desperately trying to recruit well-educated sales employees. Despite this, university graduates still tend to be trained for careers in marketing rather than in sales. Of the 236 marketing chairs in the German Academic Association for Business Research (Verband der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft,HBV) just nine identify sales as an area of focus. The WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management has now become the first university-level business school in Germany, to establish a specialized chair for sales management. Professor Ove Jensen (38) is the chairholder.
