With the beginning of January 2021, Dr. Anna-Karina Schmitz joined the faculty of WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management as Assistant Professor for Marketing. The business school is pleased to welcome her in this new role. Dr. Schmitz already holds the position of interim director of the Henkel Center for Consumer Goods (HCCG) at WHU since September 2020. She has been working there as a doctoral student since 2015 until she completed her dissertation with summa cum laude in 2020. Before starting at WHU, she graduated from the University of Cologne with a Bachelor and Master of Science in Business Administration with honors. After that, she started working in the industry for four years, collecting numerous experiences abroad.
Anna-Karina Schmitz has already published research papers in journals and scientific anthologies and has presented her research findings at various conferences. Her research interest comprises brand management, price management, and omnichannel business. Thus, she will forward the research agenda of the HCCG and the Marketing and Sales Group at WHU in the future. Additionally, Dr. Schmitz looks back on a variety of teaching experiences through her work as a lecturer and teaching assistant in various degree programs.
