Qualified applicants are invited to the WHU admission test, which is in English. Please note that you may not always be allocated your preferred date, therefore we advise you to apply at least three weeks before your preferred admission test date.  We kindly advise you to try to attend the On-Campus Admission Days as this is also an opportunity for you to meet other applicants, staff, and faculty, and familiarize yourself with our campus.

The Off-Campus Admission Days are organized for international candidates, but have the same process as the On-Campus Admission Days, except that those take place on Skype/telephone.

Should you be unable to attend one of the On-Campus or Off-Campus Admission Days, please contact our admission team.

Selected candidates will be invited to participate in the WHU admissions test. During a half-day, you will complete various activities, all conducted entirely in English, in order to evaluate your suitableness for the program

You will be assessed according to 5 assessment areas:

  1. Academic Background
  2. Submitted standardized test results (GMAT/GRE/TM-Base and English qualification)
  3. Interview 1
  4. Interview 2
  5. Group Activity (On-campus)/Brain Teaser interview (Off-campus)
Interviews and group activities:

Presentation and Discussion: You will prepare a 15-minute presentation on a self-chosen topic related to your program of choice (Master in Management, Master in Finance, or Master in Entrepreneurship). A 15-minute discussion with the examiner will follow the presentation.

We ask you to indicate three presentation topics on your/their application form and will inform you of the selected topic one week in advance of the Admissions Test.

Personal Interview: During a 20-minute interview with an examiner, you will discuss your motivations to study at WHU, your personal experiences, and career aspirations, etc.

For this interview, your resume and application form will be used as a reference point.

Group Activity (On-campus): You will be expected to work with other applicants to complete a given task within a 45-minute timeframe, while being observed by examiners.

Brain Teaser Interview (Off-campus):  You will be given a set of brain teasers to solve within a 45-minute timeframe, while being observed by one examiner.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to join a campus tour and ask a current student questions about student life at WHU. Program representatives will also offer a short Q&A session to address any administrative or application questions you may have.

We will inform you if your application has been successful or not within 3 weeks of the Admission Days. If your application has been successful, the final step is to officially accept our offer and sign the study contract.
