KRS Knowledge and Research Services

Knowledge and Research Services department is an integral pillar of WHU’s ambition to deliver excellence in research and education. KRS provides the digital research infrastructure and the necessary services to excel in data-driven research. To achieve this, WHU Library has been restructured into "WHU Knowledge and Research Services department". The change of name represents the broadened field of services and the further expansion of support for digital research methods and digital research infrastructure.

KRS Research Data Services is the heart of data for your research and studies. We secure access to leading factual and research databases, to data platforms, and digital workbenches. We actively support a research data lifecycle for WHU’s community with the “WHU DataHub”. There you can store your research data in accordance with international guidelines for good scientific practice and best practice standards.

KRS Digital Research Support is providing research software, and tools for digital methods for research, scientometrics, and bibliometrics. We promote information literacy, and we advise on open access publishing options in high-impact journals and on author’s copy right questions.

KRS Library provides a wide variety of knowledge services and resources. We focus on digital literature, new media types, and information platforms alongside a carefully curated collection of printed books, textbooks, journals, and daily newspapers. We facilitate access to all resources by maintaining discovery tools and performing high-quality backend operations such as cataloging and metadata management, acquisition processes, collections management, and usage analysis. Within the service hours, our team will be delighted to support you in person, and around the hour, you can reach us via krs[at]whu.edu. Our stacks, as well as reading rooms, are open 24/7. KRS Library is located on Vallendar Campus in building F.
