WHU’s Supply Chain Management Group is #1 in Europe

Ranking underscores WHU’s top position in supply chain management research

WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management has ranked #9 in the 2022 SCM Journal ListTM, which compares universities from around the globe that produce empirical supply chain management (SCM) research. For the seventh year in a row, WHU remains the highest-ranked institution based outside the United States for SCM research.

Universities on this list have been ranked according to the number of works published in empirically focused journals over the past five years (i.e., 2017 – 2021). The SCM Journal ListTM is the only ranking of supply chain management programs that is based on actual research output published in top-tier SCM and operations management (OM) journals.

The Supply Chain Management Group at WHU unites the independent chairs of International Business & Supply Management I (Lutz Kaufmann), International Business & Supply Management II (Felix Reimann), Logistics and Services Management (Carl Marcus Wallenburg), Logistics Management (Stefan Spinler), Operations Management (Liji Shen), Production Management (Arnd Huchzermeier), Sustainable Urban Transport (Arne Strauss), and assistant professors Marjolein Buisman and Jiachun Lu.
